Submissions

Author Guidelines

J-SUSTAIN: Journal of Sustainable Business and Global Transition welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in sustainable business and global transition. Authors are required to follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

1. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of submissions:

• Original Research Articles
• Review Articles (including systematic literature reviews)
• Conceptual Papers
• Case Studies

All submissions should demonstrate clear contributions to theory and/or practice.

2. Originality and Submission Policy

Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under consideration elsewhere. Submission implies that:

• The work is free from plagiarism
• All sources are properly cited
• All authors have approved the submission

3. Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise academic English. Authors must ensure consistency in the use of either American English or British English throughout the manuscript and should not mix both styles.

4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should include the following components:

• Title (concise and informative)
• Abstract (150–250 words, single paragraph)
• Keywords (3–5 keywords)
• JEL Classification (optional)
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Methodology
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion
• References

Additional sections such as acknowledgments or appendices may be included where appropriate.

5. Abstract

The abstract should provide a clear summary of the purpose, methodology, key findings, and contributions of the study in a single coherent paragraph. It must be self-contained and should not include references.

6. Formatting

• Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
• Use a clear academic font (e.g., Times New Roman, 11–12 pt)
• Apply consistent headings and spacing
• Further formatting details are available in the journal template

7. References

References must be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted. The journal recommends the use of APA style. Authors are encouraged to include DOI links where available.

8. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions via email or other channels are not accepted. Authors must ensure that the manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind peer review.

9. Ethical Standards

Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy. Where applicable:

• Ethical approval must be obtained
• Informed consent must be stated
• Conflicts of interest must be disclosed

10. Authorship

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research. The corresponding author is responsible for communication during the submission and review process.

11. Use of AI Tools

The use of AI tools must be transparent and responsible. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the content of their work.

12. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). Authors grant the journal the right of first publication.

13. Open Access

All articles are published as open access and are freely accessible to readers.

14. Author Fees

J-SUSTAIN does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC). All articles are published free of charge.

15. Post-Acceptance

Accepted manuscripts will undergo copyediting and typesetting. Authors will receive proofs for final review prior to publication.
