Publication Ethics
J-SUSTAIN: Journal of Sustainable Business and Global Transition is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and taking all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the COPE Core Practices and adheres to internationally recognized ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are required to ensure that their submissions are original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided.
Authors must:
- Present accurate and objective data without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
- Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
- Properly cite all sources and avoid plagiarism in any form.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Editors must:
- Evaluate manuscripts fairly and without discrimination.
- Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Avoid conflicts of interest in handling submissions.
- Ensure the integrity of the peer review process.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions through objective and constructive evaluation of manuscripts.
Reviewers must:
- Maintain the confidentiality of all review materials.
- Provide fair, unbiased, and timely assessments.
- Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
4. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the research.
5. Publication Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.
In cases of suspected misconduct, the editorial team will follow COPE guidelines in investigating and resolving the issue. Appropriate actions may include rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.
6. Conflicts of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the publication process.
7. Ethical Oversight
Research involving human participants or sensitive data must comply with relevant ethical standards and obtain appropriate ethical approval where required. Authors must clearly state ethical approval and informed consent in their manuscripts when applicable.
